The second volume of the work of Pappos of Alexandreus "Mathematical Synagogue" contains books e and f. The e' book is considered the most perfect book of the "Synagogue" in terms of mathematical rigor. It contains comparisons of plane figures having equal perimeter, in relation to each other and to the circle, and comparisons of solid figures having equal area in relation to the sphere". The book contains analyzes of the difficulties in the small astronomical site.
